The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) and the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) continue to partner and offer support for families in need. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to create extremely difficult health and economic challenges throughout Texas. Many UNT Dallas neighboring communities have been hard-hit by illness and unemployment and still need support. In an effort to provide relief to the southern Dallas communities, UNT Dallas is again partnering with the NTFB to bring a drive-thru mobile food pantry to campus on Friday, Dec. 18, 9 a.m. – 12 noon. This free, drive-thru service is available to students, faculty, staff and all community members in need of support as the holidays approach.
Safety precautions have been established to make the distribution of food a fully contact-less process. Participants will complete a simple intake form in their car and volunteers from the North Texas Food Bank and UNT Dallas will load a box of food in the trunk and securely close it. UNT Dallas police officers will direct the flow of traffic entering and exiting the UNT Dallas campus, located at 7300 University Hills Boulevard, Dallas, TX 75241.
