Mobile Market brings emergency relief to families in southern Dallas

UNT Dallas Mobile Market

Organized by UNT Dallas and partners Toyota and DART, our Mobile Market was put to excellent use Thursday, distributing food to approximately 100 families at two southern Dallas apartment complexes.

The Mobile Market reached families living in food desert areas, where it is a daily challenge to access fresh and whole foods even prior to the COVID-19 crisis. The Mobile Market delivered fresh produce, food and other necessary items.

Volunteers loaded and unloaded the bus as part of a partnership with UNT Dallas, DART, Toyota, the Oak Cliff Veggie Project, Lonestar Human Services and Grow North.
