Governor Abbott Appoints UNT Dallas College of Law Student as Student Regent



Dallas (June 6, 2018) -- Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law student Amanda Pajares as the student regent to the University of North Texas System Board of Regents.

Pajares, of Bartlett, will replace Haley Leverett. Her term will expire on May 31, 2019.

Pajares is pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law, located in downtown Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Arts in communications from the University of Texas at Tyler.

The UNT System has one non-voting student regent. The position changes annually and rotates between the University of North Texas, UNT Dallas and UNT Health Science Center.
